Memories of the Lady Janet...

A fond memory of the evil one was the morning she informed me
that the Elephant and Castle was going to be pulled down and
turned into a pizza.

I have just remembered a scary moment that occurred to me
in the comedy library...
While putting away some tomes on the shelf I became aware of
strange off key mutterings emanating from near the information desk.
The noise seemed to gather momentum until it was nearly upon me.
Suddenly it was too late and upon me was the Ewer one squawking the
tune "Mad Dogs and Englishmen go out in the Midday Sun".

To this day the memory can cause shudders and sleepless nights.

A nightmarish moment came one morning when I was innocently
chatting with Hilary by the Stationary cupboard (A place under the strict
juristiction of the Ewer) when in absolute silence Janet glided up behind
us like a posessed floating nun from some cheap horror film stopping
at our shoulders to peer gargoyle like into the murky depths of
HER cupboard. Hilary was heard to emit a yelp of terror upon her
appearence, and I myself indeed jumped at the horrifying apparition
visited upon us that day.

I have since learned to always check behind me before approaching
the stationary cupboard...
